8/22/2018 – Forensic Odontology
ADA NSW CPD

 

This two-day course will introduce participants to the scope and practice of forensic odontology with particular emphasis on disaster victim identification. Utilisation of dental techniques for human identification are simple in concept but complex in process. Participants will be guided through the inter-related processes and procedures utilised in a disaster event. Become a forensic “sleeper”, a skill set that will fascinate you but we hope you will never need.

8/25/2018 – Periodontal Treatment Planning
Continuing Education in Dentistry, University of Sydney

 

This half day course run by A/Prof Axel Spahr guides attendants through the current concepts of periodontal treatment planning. Treatment algorithms will be presented for different types of periodontal diseases to enable an evidence based treatment plan. Tools and guidelines for the assessment of patient prognosis and single tooth prognosis will be discussed.

8/28/2018 – Regenerative Treatment of Peri-Implantitis
Geistlich Pharma Australia

 

Even though no definitive numbers can be given, it should be clear, by now, that periodontally compromised patients must be informed that they are at higher risk of peri-implant disease, before treatment is initiated. When peri-implantitis has already caused extensive bone resorption, the dentist is faced with the dilemma of whether regenerative therapy is appropriate in order to maintain the implant, or whether removal and replacement with a new implant would be preferred.

Extended Fixed Prosthodontics 2: Implantology is an intensive and comprehensive course on implant prosthodontics.
